Lawrence Family

I knew I would instantly connect with Amy (aka, Mom) after she emailed me saying that she read my "about me" section of my website and it brought her to tears! I love when people "get me", especially about my style of photography and how it is so moving to me. Well, part of my write up is about how I feel like I can totally connect with people I don't know through photography when I look into their eyes, their gazes at each other, the way they touch each other, etc-like I can feel the love between relationships that are photographed. This family just portrays this entirely...and look at that-Amy also feels this way! Anyway, I had never met The Lawrence family and now after our session and after editing these few images, I feel like I have know them much more personally than I actually do. This is a family that I can sense the closeness that they have through these pictures and our short time together Easter weekend. They came up from Houston to visit her sister, who will be briefly mentioned in a bit and has her own session coming up soon, and it just so happened that our schedules both worked so where we could get together for this much needed documentation of LOVE!!! Their daughter's name is coincidentally also Addison, but with an "i" and is full of personality and smiles! Amy wanted some great candids and I am SOOOOO happy with what we got. And surprisingly, even though we were at the Arboretum again, we got a completely different look I think. Enjoy Amy and Jeremy and give Miss Addison a big hug from me--and come back to visit!
One of my favorite "candids" of all time!
Trying a new edit here, but it actually is now one of my favorite edits of all time! Lots of "all times" here :) I am calling it "walking on sunshine" because I was going for a "dreamy/Spring" look. What do you think? BTW, I have to credit my friend Sarah for my new title of this image because I got it from her blog, but it just fit SO well!
Here is one of Amy's nephew, Ryan, who's session is coming up in May. We tried to get the 3 cousins together, but Ryan was the only willing participant! His sister Lauren said "NO WAY" (literally), which was so cute! But, now I am wondering...what if she uses that "no way" line on me in a few weeks?? Watch out Lauren...you can run, but you can't hide! Don't you just want to take this little one home? He was all about my white fuzzy blanket-practically rolling up in it, and had the CUTEST expressions! I will probably edit some more when it's their session, but for just one preview I wanted to give Mom a super cute one!
