SCHEDULING A SESSION

I am currently booking sessions for Spring sessions. Spring is always a busy time and weekends fill up very fast. Please contact me soon to get your session booked! I will always make room for newborns as they come on their own little schedules, but would love as much advance notice as possible. Remember that newborn sessions are done within the first 2 weeks.

Elysa and Dylan {DFW Child Photographer}

>> Sunday, August 16, 2009

Awww...my sweet second cousins-in-law...lol! That sounds so funny, but they are--at least I think that's the appropriate title! More than that, they are really just sweet, sweet kids that I have really grown to love over the past 4 years! Unfortunately they live in New York, but lucky for me they have been in town the past couple of weeks and I got the pleasure of photographing them for their yearly portraits! Elysa just turned 3 since they have been here so we just had a great party for this princess, and Dylan is just at the age where he is starting to act more "our age" (since I'm so young and all-hahaha) with just wanting to hang out more with the "big kids". He is also the wittiest 7 year old I have ever met..and I've met quite a few since I taught kindergarten for 5 years. So, while were taking these pictures, Elysa starts playing with my newest favorite prop-the parasol. Well, Dylan says "Is that from China?" And I say jokingly, "Yeah, I got it yesterday when I was there..." and not 2 seconds later he pops out with " Yeah, and I wasn't born yesterday either!" HA! I seriously couldn't believe how quick he was with that...and it was HILARIOUS! Mom says he's really witty and quick like that all the time, which I just love about people because I for one, am not! I am always envious of people with quick wit and their ability to think so fast...and to be funny with it is such a bonus! I was just SO impressed with how great the kids did with the pictures, although it did help to guilt them into some great smiles and a little extra patience because it was their mom's birthday that day!

Thank you so much Mindy for this opportunity to spend a little more 1:1 time with the kids and to really connect with them. They did amazing and I hope these truly meet all your expectations for your birthday pictures! :)
