Mallorie is the niece of my bf Debbie and I was so excited to finally meet her when Debbie called to see if I could fit her in for a session while she was going to be in town briefly. She lives in North Carolina so I had never gotten to meet her, but heard all kinds of stories about how precious she was. So when we finally meet for our session on Friday, I was excited. Mallorie was not. She had huge stranger anxiety around me, which I am totally not used to because I have worked with kids my whole career-as a ECI specialist, a Kindergarten teacher, and now taking mostly portraits of, well, mostly kids! Mom was really great and saw what was going on and kindly stepped out of the scene in hopes that Mallorie would open up and show her true personality and she did...then we ran out of light-completely. We all went to dinner after that so I could make a new best friend and that really helped. The next day we met up for a bit longer and got some great pictures that I hope Mom and the whole family will be happy with. Mom didn't even come to day 2 so she has no idea what to expect from these pictures. I am so sorry for the delay in even a peek. I was already overwhelmed with the amount of sessions I booked the previous week before this and then I got the flu yesterday which totally put me out-except I did manage to get a sneak peek done when my Advil kicked in! :)
