Truly Blessed

That's all I have to say. Well, now you want to know why, huh? Okay, so this is my first blog for my new photography business! I am so excited to be at this point after much hard work to get here! I know that there is still much work to be done, but in the words of my mom today "I've Arrived" ! What a great feeling! To be at this point "blessed" is the only word that describes my emotions right now. To the why part (and this gets to how/why I am here too): I left teaching almost a year ago to stay home with my daughter full time. Now, I love staying home with my daughter. She is the most precious gift I could have ever received. And with all of our new time together, I started taking a lot of pictures...no really...a LOT of pictures of her. I have always taken a lot of pictures, but since I have SO much time with her;I felt like I needed to document all of it! I started to realize that I love taking pictures. They mean so much to me. No matter how much we think "I need to remember this moment, or this smile, or this (you fill in the blank) about them", the memory will fade somewhat. But, when I see a picture, I can relive that moment in it's entirety. So, I started thinking about all the images that we have that are priceless to me and I decided that I would love to give that gift to others. I began taking classes, did some research, talked to some EXTREMELY helpful and talented people that were kind enough to support me; and with a lot of guidance started on this amazing ride!

The blessed part comes in though through my family. I know why God put me with my husband. Not sure yet if he knows why I was put with him, but that's not important now is it? My husband is amazing! When I said I wanted to stay home, he said "I'll make it happen". When I said I wanted to open a boutique (another story), he said "If that's what you want to do, I'm in". I quickly came to my senses though on that one and realized that I would NEVER see my daughter if I went down that path. Back to it...when I said I want to be a photographer, he again, without questions or doubt said "Great"! I know that God led me here, but I also firmly believe that I have some pretty wonderful people in my life that have made this blessing happen! Thank you to my friends and family so much for helping me get this far and let the fun begin!
