SCHEDULING A SESSION

I am currently booking sessions for Spring sessions. Spring is always a busy time and weekends fill up very fast. Please contact me soon to get your session booked! I will always make room for newborns as they come on their own little schedules, but would love as much advance notice as possible. Remember that newborn sessions are done within the first 2 weeks.

The excitement and anticipation of the arrival of a little one by first time parents is just contagious and I love getting to share in the joy--just another perk of this amazing, wonderful job. What a fun couple that is so in love...what a way to spend my evening. Can't wait to meet this little prince!

Sweet Ford, you win. I know you came in trying to prove that you were the best newborn poser EVER, and yes, yes you were. Slept through 12 set ups like a champ! I could have played with you and that gorgeous hair all day. Your mommy and daddy will have to bring you back real soon.

I am more than more behind with editing since I had to unexpectedly leave town for a week for a family emergency, and I apologize profusely, but I have had nothing but sincere support from all my clients and it has been so gracious. I am going to try to catch up as quickly as I can! To start things off, here is a little one that I haven't seen since her newborn pictures 1 year ago! I love, love, love to be able to photograph families and kids as they grow up! I have a special little place in my heart for the ones that I held and snuggled on when they were just days old, and it's so nice to see them grow into little...or BIG personalities! Sweet Hannly...you are a doll! I love that you brought your grandmother's pearls to play with. Such great memories made through these images!

Here's just a peek of what we got from our day together, although it was SO incredibly hard to pick my favorites. This whole session was a favorite of mine!

For the fun of it {Frisco Children's Photographer}

>> Saturday, October 8, 2011

With the busy season in full effect, I find myself already thinking..."if I have to sit down at this computer one more hour, I'm going to go crazy.." so today I had to get out and shoot for ME. It's really important for me to do this every now and then to not only actually get some images of my own kids done every couple of months, but also to practice, learn new technique and to just enjoy photography. Not that I don't enjoy it every session, but I mean enjoy it without the pressure of shooting for someone else. Just to get out and "play"! Plus, I had to location scout! I'm running out of ideas for new, unique places so today we just drove. Addyson is usually more than willing to go out with me, and I can typically get a few that I love of her...she's just not quite hit "muse" status...yet. She's still in training. :) lol
Today she was all for the session, and even styled herself--and I do mean every piece of what she's wearing is all her (I was impressed), but then we got there and she informed me--no props. I will not smile or have fun if you get one chair, box, or blanket out of the car. Hahaha! She's too much sometimes. And I had a vision for this little "shoot" too! Oh well. Maybe I'll get to bring a client here and bring out the big guns.

For now...my muse-in-training {4 1/2}

Love her windy, messy rats nest and all :)
This is so my daughter. Tongue out, dancing=Addyson Claire Wills

This is also the infamous 4 year old Addyson pose. I would normally skip over this one since I see this "pose" every time I break out the camera, but this is a memory...one that I need to keep
Where did my baby go?

Thanks for looking!

Pretties...

Recently I posted a complete album layout--if you missed it, you can find it here. I love, love, love creating albums for my clients, and delivering them is even better! Albums are great because they

a) don't require wall space
b) give you all your favorite images in one book
c) allows your images to tell a story
d) are timeless heirlooms that can be passed down generation to generation
AND
e) completely custom and completely beautiful!

Here's a look at my most recent album that just came in. Albums come in 2 sizes for a fully custom designed layout: 12x12 and 9x9, and 3 choices for a mini album which still come with custom covers and hard, thick pages, but they just have 1 image/page. Those come in 5x7, 5x5, or 4x6.
This one is a 9x9 custom designed storybook album~

Tons of unique covers in leather, fabric, and vegan options...
Custom text available
Panoramic layouts go seamlessly across the entire 2 pages with no distortion to your images and book lays completely flat
Hard, thick pages with rounded corners so pages are not easily ripped or bent

Lovely :)
And even the packaging is pretty!

Albums are available a la carte or are a part of a couple collections. What a gorgeous way to preserve your memories!

Fall Mini Sessions-McKinney, TX {Dallas Family Photographer}

>> Friday, September 16, 2011

For all my McKinney/Allen/Frisco/North Dallas friends, or anyone who wants to drive just a little bit...I will be doing 1 weekend of mini-sessions this Fall and it's coming up soon! I just posted this yesterday on Facebook and I only have 1 slot left for Sunday, but several for Saturday. We will have tons of different set-ups out here including the vintage red truck, a red couch, an antique bed (for all you shabby chic lovers), and plenty of grassy area to run and play in...let's just pray some of it's green! lol

I'll have Holiday cards out there and if you order your cards that day, you will get 10% off your entire card order! If you would like to go through cards beforehand so it's not so crazy trying to pick them out that day, just let me know and I'll send you the link.

I would love to see past and current clients, but if you haven't used me--I'd LOVE to meet you too and this would be a great time to "try it out" without going for the full session!

Reese {4}--Southlake Children's Photographer

I always love photographing Reese. I look forward to it Spring for his birthday and Fall for the family...he never lets me down! But this time in particular, he was amazing...his true personality came out in each and every one of these and this is the real Reese. Mom loved it so much we made an album out of these, so I just thought I would share the layout of the whole thing. I'll add some pictures of the actual album when it comes in any day! I just saw this quote today from another photographer and love it. It defines my passion for photography and I'm so blessed to give these memories to families.

Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever. . . it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything - Aaron Sussman
